Bundaberg Woman Wins Keno Jackpot

Woman Wins Keno Jackpot2, 10, 11, 14, 15, 17, 19, 29, 42, and 72: to most of us, these numbers mean precious little. For one lucky Keno player, however, it meant an astonishing $1.16 million.

The timing could not have been any better. The 42-year old woman, a Bundaberg native and proud mother of four, was celebrating even before the winning numbers were announced: it was her birthday, and she was relaxing at a sports club with a few of her closest friends. Indeed, she was so caught up in the moment that her winning ticket had gone completely unnoticed for a little while. Once she made the amazing discovery, however, the party was given even greater cause to celebrate.

The lucky winner isn’t letting any of this get to her head, however. She works for a hospital, monitoring the patient’s diets, and she doesn’t intend to leave her post anytime soon. In fact, she is working long and hard on furthering her career, by studying to eventually become a dietician. Humble, too, are her plans for the money. Not desiring much in the way of luxury, she intends to use much of the prize money to support all of her children. With the money left over, the woman is considering looking into some sound investments for the future.

Happiness, to her, comes in the way of taking care of people. The money is not a means to leave it all and stop working completely; it is simply good security for herself, and for the rest of her family.

With her amiable affect and rich story, this latest winner caught the attention of Keno spokesman Nick Quinn. Quinn stated that the jackpot couldn’t have gone to a nicer person, and that he and the rest of the Keno representatives are very happy to be able to hand it over to her.
